Experiment #7 Forbbiden Love

Tyrany In the Scenes of Love

The people here see a resemblance between you and me that seems so frightening
Explosions spark violence and swoon the sky red
It's times like these, I wish I could look into your eyes and sip from your courage
Violence is spoken but wisdom calls out our names
There is something forbidden about love in this place

Things became harder as we became silent
Locked in your castle on the 34th floor
Tear at your sheets as you here the chants grow
Pitchforks pierce the sky with a march to my death
I won't move for radiant heart continues to glow

Worse words are spoken and I see they despise me
Caught in clear visions, your words strangle my neck
It's the hardest truth to believe, as I call to your name
And am pierced by my heart
Why are they so violent, leave our world alone

Tears that poor down your cheeks soften the blow
Numbing yourself that this was all just a dream
But is it when my radiant heart refuses to glow
Destiny calls out, with songs from a bird
Please welcome the eagle that dives into your arms

It's the hardest truth to believe, that I call to your name
And you see no resemblance from the blue skies I dove from
I sore now with my heart so radiant it glows
Now my eyes are harpoons that watch you from above
It's times like these, I wish I could look into your eyes and sip from your courage
And prove to you it's me

  1. thanks for sharing your latest experiment!

My favorite image is the eagle diving toward her open arms.

The poetry works best when the imagery is specific like that!
